[July 13, 2011]  Community Action has announced their Employee of the Quarter. Lynnette Bruce, manager of family-community partnership, was awarded the honor for the work she does with the Head Start program at the corporate office in Lincoln.

InsuranceThe co-worker nominating Bruce said: "Lynnette immediately began to bring her enthusiasm and professional manner to the Family Community Partnership Manager position. She has a 'can-do' attitude and has tackled the learning curve of Head Start with tenacity. Her passion for families and the need for early interventions as a method of preventing crisis situations in the lives of children and their families has been translated through the Family and Education component."

Bruce has been a part of Community Action since October 2009. She has quickly earned the respect of her staff by working hand in hand with them to develop the skills they need to be successful. She has been recognized by her peers for her enthusiasm and professionalism in her relationships with the Head Start families and her staff.

She was presented with a plaque and $50 gift card by Angela Stoltzenburg, Community Action executive director, and Beth Fleshman, deputy director.
