Requests for hotel-motel tax funds should be submitted

[July 19, 2011]  The finance committee of the Logan County Board is accepting requests for hotel-motel tax funds to be used for tourism-related projects and events in 2011.

Organizations requesting funds should provide the following information:

  • What the funds will be used for.

  • How the use of funds will bring more tourists to the county.

  • What publicity will be used to attract tourists.

  • An approximation of attendance by out-of-county visitors.

  • Whether the organization has a 501(c)(3) designation.

  • Bylaws of the organization.

  • Most recent financial report, if available.

  • Whether the organization has received hotel-motel tax in past years and if so, when and how much.

The funding requests should be submitted to the Logan County Board, P.O. Box 39, Lincoln, or delivered in person to the county board office at the Logan County Courthouse. The deadline is 4 p.m. Aug. 12.

Requests will be reviewed by the finance committee at 11 a.m. Aug. 17 in the County Board Room at the courthouse. Those submitting requests are welcome to attend.
