Due to health reasons Wilbur Gaedtka is selling his entire collection over 3 separate auctions:
 

Over the last 60 years Wilbur has attended many auctions thru-out Illinois. and neighboring states. he purchased a variety of treasures which have been stored in his sheds. many of those items have remained undisturbed until now.


For parking convenience the auction will be held at the Sanert auction center located at 259 North Engle St. in Greenview, IL. ( Greenview is located 20 miles north of Springfield, IL. on rt. 29.)

 

18 wagon loads of over 1000 pieces. of collectible and primitive items: hay forks: hay knives: assorted implement wrenches: fence stretchers: several barn lanterns; cast iron implement seats

 

Anvils and blacksmithing tools: 35 blacksmith anvils including pre 1780 blacksmith anvil: buffalo hand crank blower; forge blowers, blacksmithing tongs and related blacksmithing tools: assorted hardies: post-vises , wood augers: old forged tools made from files: broad axes: electric shop tools. framed picture of a blacksmithing scene; plus lots more.
 

approx. 60 pieces of vintage beer advertising from the 1960’s-1990’s including electric clocks, electric lighted signs, hanging lamps, metal and plastic signs and more; Pabst, Falstaff. Old Style , Stag, Budweiser, Miller High Life, Busch and others: (will sell at 12:00 noon):
 

special mention: civil war union cavalry sword, (no scabbard) marked us 1864 with the initials D.F.
 

We will run 2 rings at the start. anvils and blacksmithing wagon will sell at 10:30 a.m.
