Sunday evening 15 sweet little ladies gathered at the Christian Family Life Center in Mount Pulaski for their mandatory practice before taking the stage next Tuesday night to compete for the title of Little Miss Logan County.

Led by Julie Cooper and Amy Cherry, the little girls learned how to walk across the stage, traverse the runway, speak into the microphone and tell the audience their name, what town they live in and what their favorite thing about summer might be.

Many of the young ladies said their favorite thing to do in the summer is go swimming, a couple said they enjoyed spending time with family, and one surprised the leaders by saying her favorite thing to do in the summertime is go yard sale-ing.
