Sunday evening at the end of their mandatory practice in preparation for the Little Miss Logan County competition next week, 15 little darlings learned a variety of things they would need to know in order to present themselves well in front of the judges.

At the end of their practice, Julie Cooper who is the co-director of the Little Miss competition and a preschool teacher by profession, took the little girls into a quiet spot and explained to them that at the end of the competition they would all be given gifts, but only one would be crowned Little Miss.

She emphasized to them that as competitors, they are all winners, and we at Lincoln Daily News couldn't agree more. Save these pictures, folks, because you are looking as the next generation of Logan County Fair queens.

Standing perfectly still in a straight line looks easy, but when you're 4, 5, 6 and 7 years old, in front of hundreds of people, it is harder than one might think.
