A mobile home on its way to a new location didn't make it last night.

The large home was being towed by a flatbed truck. Coming in from the east on 21st Street, the driver attempted to turn south onto North Main and struck a utility pole with the mobile home, severely damaging the home and making for a challenging removal as the home was embedded into a utility pole.

Ameren was called in to secure the electric lines.

Ron's Towing arrives. These men are discussing how to tackle this problem.

As darkness falls, the big rig hooks on to the mobile home.

By 9 p.m. the home was back on 21st Street, westbound, and no longer entangled in the utility pole.
