Grain futures mostly drop, livestock prices rise

[June 02, 2011]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures mostly fell Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery slid 37.5 cents to $7.8225 a bushel; July corn dropped 11 cents to $7.475 a bushel; July oats rose 3.25 cents to $3.86 a bushel; while July soybeans dipped 3.75 cents to $13.76 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle rose 0.32 cent to $1.0537 a pound; August feeder cattle gained 1.65 cent to $1.2437 a pound; July lean hogs added 1.32 cent to 89.92 cents a pound; while July pork bellies were unchanged at $1.21 a pound.
