Grain futures slide, livestock prices mixed

[June 07, 2011]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures tumbled Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery fell 29.75 cents to $7.44 a bushel; July corn slid 22 cents to $7.32 a bushel; July oats fell 6 cents to $3.72 a bushel; while July soybeans tumbled 31.25 cents to $13.8325 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle dropped 1.78 cent to $1.0332 a pound; August feeder cattle dipped 0.15 cent to $1.2410 a pound; July lean hogs added 0.48 cent to 89.70 cents a pound; while July pork bellies were unchanged at $1.21 a pound.
