[June 08, 2011]  GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Police say a man suspected of robbing a credit union in Florida fled onto Interstate 75, where motorists saw him tossing cash out of his car window.

The Campus USA Credit Union was held up around 11 a.m. Tuesday. Minutes later, police received calls from motorists heading south on Interstate 75 about money being thrown from a car.

Authorities say the suspect was pulled over about 11:30 a.m. in Marion County. No further details about the robbery or suspect were immediately available.

Sections of the road were closed briefly while deputies looked for the cash.
