[June 10, 2011]  The Lincoln Speedway invites you to come out Friday night and watch some of the best racing action in central Illinois. The show will consist of the regular lineup at the speedway: Pro Late Models, Street Stocks, E-Mods, Modifieds and Wild Things (Hornets).

Brett Zerfowski will call the races and emcee the night's events. Publicity from the speedway says: "If you haven't had a chance to hear Brett call a race, you are missing out. Whether it's your first time at the races or you are a regular, he puts you right in the racing action."

There is a close points race in the Modified class, led by Brian Lynn in the 14. Allan Weisser, 25A, is only 27 points behind and could knock off the defending track champion. Matt Goulden, 41G, is third in the points race. Add in Butch Weisser in the 25 and Guy Taylor in the 77, and there's a battle each and every week.

Another close points race is taking place in the Pro Late Model class. Nick Bauman in the B1 is only 22 points ahead of Evan Fink in the 1F. Bauman will be after the checkered flag this week, after tasting the thrill of victory last Friday night. The 18 driven by Randy Meyers has been coming on strong the past few weeks as well.
