NASCAR star Ken Schrader will be driving his UMP Modified in
competition with other top Modified drivers from the Midwest. Kenny
Wallace will also be on hand, driving his Federated Car Care
Modified. Wallace and Schrader are both sponsored by Federated Car
Care for the 2011 racing season. Both NASCAR stars will be signing
autographs in the pit area after the races are completed. The pit
area will be open to all spectators for autographs once the night's
races are completed.
Racing with the UMP Modifieds will be Lincoln Speedway's Late
Models and the Pro (crate) Late Models. A large field of cars is
expected, with gates opening at 5 p.m., and the racing action will
start at 7.
Fans can come back to the track on Thursday for another special
event. New this year, Lincoln Speedway will host the first day of
the three-day Building Systems of Illinois Mini Sprint Nationals,
held in conjunction with Macon Speedway. The Mini Sprint drivers
will compete on Thursday at Lincoln, then travel a short distance
and compete on Friday and Saturday at Macon.
