Saturday the public was invited to come out to the Logan County Paramedic Association and Lincoln Rural Fire District campus for a day of fun and interesting activities centered on home safety.

The day was a collaborative effort between the Lincoln Police Department, Lincoln Fire Department, Logan County Sheriff's Department, Logan County Department of Public Health, Logan County EMA, The Christian Village, Logan County Paramedic Association and Lincoln Rural Fire Protection District.

According to Marcia Cook of The Christian Village, the idea came when she contacted the LCPA about conducting some CPR classes for the community.

Cook said that with June being Home Safety Month, the idea of a full-blown event started forming. Christian Village and LCPA contacted all the other agencies involved and asked if they would be interested in participating in a family fun day that would be entertaining and educational.
