The first inning for both teams started
off well. Emma Nepellelo
started the Lincoln FOP 208 scoring with a run in the first with an RBI by
Ashley Getchel. In the second inning Clinton was able to score a
few runs with their improved batting and running. Lincoln answered
in the third inning with five runs, to go ahead of Clinton by
one run.
Lincoln finished the game in a 16-4 victory over Clinton YMCA.
Winning pitcher was Breanna Waller. Kelsey Pickett led the team
with most hits with three.
The Lincoln FOP 208 record goes to 7-3.
The team will face rival Mount Pulaski in Mount Pulaski on Friday
at 6 p.m. Lincoln FOP 208 has not won a game against the girls of
Mount Pulaski.
