Rain not a factor in FOP 208 win over Clinton YMCA

[June 15, 2011]  After a short rain delay Monday, the Lincoln FOP 208 girls hosted the Clinton YMCA. The scheduled doubleheader was cut short to just one game.

InsuranceThe first inning for both teams started off well. Emma Nepellelo started the Lincoln FOP 208 scoring with a run in the first with an RBI by Ashley Getchel.

In the second inning Clinton was able to score a few runs with their improved batting and running. Lincoln answered in the third inning with five runs, to go ahead of Clinton by one run.

Lincoln finished the game in a 16-4 victory over Clinton YMCA.

Winning pitcher was Breanna Waller. Kelsey Pickett led the team with most hits with three.

The Lincoln FOP 208 record goes to 7-3.

The team will face rival Mount Pulaski in Mount Pulaski on Friday at 6 p.m. Lincoln FOP 208 has not won a game against the girls of Mount Pulaski.
