Blagojevich jury to deliberate for 5th day

[June 16, 2011]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Jurors at the corruption retrial of impeached Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich are gathering again to go through evidence presented during six weeks of testimony.

Thursday is the fifth day of discussions for the 11 women and one man who make up the jury.

It's difficult to tell how the jury might be leaning. The jury has sent the judge just one note, and it was on a minor matter that revealed little.

Blagojevich faces 20 counts. He took the stand and denied all the charges, including that he tried to sell or trade President Barack Obama's vacated U.S. Senate seat.

Blagojevich's first trial ended with jurors deadlocked on all but one count after 14 days of deliberations. He was convicted of lying to the FBI.
