Lincoln Fire Department poses for history

In the wee hours of the morning Sunday, while many folks were enjoying a chance to sleep in, the firefighters of the city of Lincoln were dressed in their best blues and lining up to have their pictures taken.

According to Chief Mark Miller, the last photos taken of Lincoln firefighters were in 1999. There have been several changes since then, and in the interest of preserving the department's history, Miller decided it was time to do some new photos.

Barbara Coffey of BC Photography was on hand to do the honors. Photos were taken of the entire group, plus portrait pieces for individual firefighters.

A fine photo but there is a firefighter missing.
