Most Logan County residents
have been inside our courthouse, but not many have been inside the
dome that sits atop the structure. The courthouse is on the National
Register of Historic Places and was designed by renowned architect
John M. Deal.
Built between 1903 and 1905,
the Cleveland sandstone structure is the centerpiece of downtown
Lincoln. The dome measures 60 feet tall by 52 feet in diameter and
houses four 9-foot Seth Thomas clocks.
