volunteer sign-up

Members of the Humane Society of Logan County hosted an open house at their new shelter on Saturday. It was a chance to show off the new building, plus solicit volunteers to help man the shelter once it is open. Members were delighted with the response. Several dozen visitors expressed interest in volunteering, and that is essential for the shelter to remain financially viable.

If you were unable to attend and want to volunteer, please call 217-737-4042 or email info@hslclincoln.org.

Looking at the cages area that also leads to outdoor areas for dogs to enjoy a nice day.

Always appreciative, the HSLC makes sure names of the students who worked on the shelter are forever known, thanks to  plaques and a picture on the wall.

Annie the pooch stopped by to check out where her friends will be staying, hopefully not for long.

The list of volunteer sign-ups is looking good.

Star checks out the scene. Although she looks a bit "put off" in this picture, she is an extremely friendly feline ready for adoption.

The hallways were busy as tours and explanations of the shelter were offered to all who came.
