Each group created a banner using symbols and

Scouts prepare to shoot watermelons with bows
and arrows. Courtney Raymond and other volunteers instructed the
Scouts in safety measures before they were allowed to load the bow.
|
After their safety lesson, Scouts took aim and
shot five arrows at round watermelons positioned across a stretch of
grass. |
|
Most watermelons were untouched, but some
received mortal hits from the amateur archers.
|
Then, after learning safety, the Scouts got to
shoot BB rifles. The Scouts readied themselves in alternating
positions, to prevent shooters from being too close and causing
harm. It also allowed them to take turns and to stop and observe
others.
