To some, the thought of a
sewage treatment facility may instantly conjure images of
something that is less than clean, and there is no denying that when
waste comes into the plant, it isn't pretty. But inside the
facility, you will not find a cleaner, more organized or more
smoothly run operation.

Inside the fabrication shop at the plant, there
is a place for everything and everything is in its place.

and stored for quick access when something breaks down at the plant.

In the maintenance garage, this 1999 vehicle
looks showroom new, a testament to how well the city assets are
cared for.

These boxes, numbered and named, contain parts
for each of the city's lift stations. When a station fails, workers
grab the boxes and go in a matter of minutes.
