The Humane Society of Logan County was chartered on April 14, 2006, as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization and does not receive federal, state or local tax dollars. In addition to nominal annual membership dues and fundraising activities, the organization relies heavily on donations from individuals, foundations and corporations who also have a commitment to animal welfare. All donations are tax-deductible. The HSLC does not belong to any national organizations, so 100 percent of all donations are used for animals of Logan County.
