Mosquito and seal coat schedule released by city

[June 29, 2011]  Tuesday evening Tracy Jackson, city street and alley superintendent, shared with aldermen and media the summer plans for the street department.

Jackson said the city will start spraying for mosquitoes on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with Friday being the rain or high wind makeup time. The mosquito spraying will be an ongoing project for the next six weeks.

Jackson also shared a list of streets in the city that will receive seal coating this year.

He said that the dates set for coating are July 11-14, 18-21, Aug. 8-11, 15-18, 22-25 and 29-31. Jackson said that if weather prevented the work, then everything would be pushed back accordingly.

Below is the listing Jackson provided. No information was given as to what streets would be done on what dates. It was also noted that if seal coating materials run out, the alleyways at the end of the list will be omitted.
