Members from throughout the community came to the American Legion Ryman-Fuiten Post 447 Hall in Mount Pulaski on Saturday night. It was an occasion to celebrate the man for whom the town is named as well as to continue the yearlong celebration of the town's 175th anniversary.

Tom Martin, who chairs the Mount Pulaski 175th Anniversary Committee, was master of ceremonies. Antoni Skeilnik, a retired diesel mechanic immigrant from Poland who lives in Mount Pulaski with his wife, Betty, gave a toast in his native Polish to Casimir Pulaski.

Authentic Polish cuisine was prepared by Mike and Jennifer Richner of  Hilltop Catering.
