[March 10, 2011]  LAKELAND, Fla. -- Lincoln College rolled into Lakeland, Fla., to take on Itasca Community College of Minnesota. The Lynx, however, were able to come back from an early 3-0 deficit following the first inning and lost 9-6.

Lynx starter Jeff Bolen of Delavan, Ill., allowed three runs in the first before settling in for the next three innings.

Brad Passini of Standard, Ill., kept Itasca off balance while he was on the mound. Itasca managed three hits off Passini, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his two innings of work.

Josh Cook of Yorkville, Ill., and Andrew Mosier of Lake Orion, Mich., both homered for the Lynx.

The Lincoln College team remains in Lakeland and is scheduled to play St. Cloud Tech Community College on Thursday.
