Write a check payable to The Salvation Army with the memo line marked "Japan Earthquake Relief" and mail it to: The Salvation Army, PO Box 52, Lincoln, IL 62656. Every cent of local donations marked for Japan Earthquake Relief efforts is used exclusively in support of that relief effort.

Gifts in kind: At this time, The Salvation Army of Logan County is not accepting in-kind donations (physical items) from the general public for the Japanese earthquake response. It is extremely difficult and expensive to ship in-kind donations overseas from the U.S. to Japan.
It is much more efficient for disaster relief agencies to purchase needed resources locally and for immediate distribution within the disaster area. The best way for local residents to help Japanese disaster survivors is to make a designated financial donation.
Please note that The Salvation Army of Logan County continues to accept donations of used clothing, furniture and other items to support year-round Logan County programs.
