[March 21, 2011]  DUNEDIN, Fla. (AP) -- Jesse Litsch, hoping to lock up a spot in Toronto's starting rotation, allowed three hits and struck out seven in 5 1-3 innings Sunday as the Blue Jays beat the Twins 3-0.

Toronto nicked Scott Baker for a run in the first inning when Jose Bautista doubled down the left field line and scored on Adam Lind's single to center, a soft line drive that grazed the glove of leaping shortstop Alexi Casilla.

They were two of three hits Baker allowed in four innings. He struck out five without walking a batter.

Litsch's only difficulty came in the second inning when Danny Valencia led off with a double. Luke Hughes lined out to shortstop Yunel Escobar and Litsch struck out Jeff Bailey and Drew Butera.

Travis Snider hit a two-run homer in the eighth.
