Habitat dedicates 15th home

Sunday afternoon Brandy Mullenbach became the proud owner of a home through the Habitat for Humanity program. It is the 15th such home that Habitat has constructed or remodeled in Logan County.

To become a Habitat homeowner, candidates must give sweat equity hours to Habitat programs, including the construction of their own home.

Once the home is completed, Habitat has a blessing and dedication of the home and turns the keys over to the new owner.

Another picture of the proud owner is in today's Community section.

People arrived Sunday to help welcome Mullenbach into the community and her new home.

Bob Chamberlain, Habitat president, opened the ceremony with a few words of welcome.

The group recited the  Litany of Dedication.

The refurbished home was donated by St. Clara's Manor. Mike Eads, St. Clara's administrator, led the Litany of Hope.
