Grain futures drop, livestock prices trade mixed

[March 29, 2011]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures traded lower Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery dropped 8 cents to $7.2525 a bushel; May corn slid 18.5 cents to $6.71 a bushel; May oats were unchanged at $3.49 a bushel; while soybeans for May delivery fell 9.75 cents to $13.485 a bushel.

Beef and pork traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle slipped 0.78 cent to $1.1697 a pound; May feeder cattle added 0.12 cent at $1.3717 a pound; June lean hogs fell 0.45 cent to $1.0325 a pound; while March pork bellies jumped 3 cents to $1.2600 a pound.
