[March 30, 2011]  SPRINGFIELD -- Lincoln College was unable to capitalize in key situations and fell to Benedictine University of Springfield 7-2 on Tuesday.

InsuranceLucas Wright (Nokomis) started on the hill, lasting seven innings with only five hits. In those seven innings, Wright gave up four runs, all which were unearned. The other three runs in the ballgame were also unearned, stemming from nine errors by the Lynx.

In the top half of the seventh, the Lynx were able to load the bases with no outs. However, a groundout and double play ended the threat to take the lead.

Bright sports for the Lynx were Josh Cook (Yorkville), who went 2-3, and Kenny May (Belleville), 3-4 with an RBI.

The Lynx (6-10, 3-1 MWAC) will travel to Jacksonville to take on Illinois College today (Wednesday) at 4 p.m.
