The Lynx defeated John Wood 5-2 in the first game, behind the
pitching efforts of Shelbi Rentmeister (10-8). Jana Wright had a
great game at the plate, going 3-4 with one RBI. Heathre Depratt was
1-3 with a home run in the top of the third inning, and Danielle
Stephenson was 2-2 with a double. Jana Wright (8-10) took the loss
in the second game. Danielle Stephenson went 2-3, Kristen Cooper 2-3
and Katie Kramer 2-3, but the Lynx fell short, being defeated with a
final score of 3-2.
The Lynx softball team will travel to Mattoon on Thursday to
compete in the MWAC regional tournament.
