The Humane Society of Logan County's shelter is in its final stages before completion, and they are so thankful for the help given by the LCHS building trades young men that they served up a cookout yesterday.

The meld of building trades and the HSLC was a win for both groups, with the society saving a great deal of money on labor costs and the young men learning skills in commercial building.

Judy Conzo and Marilyn Wheat give their sad faces in the kennels.

But the kennels have an outside area, too, for nice days, if we ever get any.
