[May 11, 2011]  NEW YORK (AP) -- Mega-marathoner Dean Karnazes (kar-NAH'-sis) has crossed the finish line after his coast-to-coast run.

Viewers of "Live! With Regis and Kelly" saw Karnazes arrive at the talk show's Manhattan studio Tuesday morning at 9:48 a.m., more than two months after he set off from California's Disneyland on Feb. 25.

He was welcomed by co-hosts Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, as well as a cheering studio audience.

With his run across America, the 48-year-old Karnazes was promoting fitness for Americans and young people in particular.

"Live! With Regis and Kelly" regularly aired updates as he made his way across the country. His route of nearly 3,000 miles crossed 17 states and the District of Columbia.
