The Mount Pulaski History (1987-2011) Red Book Committee gathered  to lay out and finalize the pages with publisher Randy Bell of Bell Books, Rich Hill, Mo., on Wednesday and Thursday. It was decided to honor the early-bird price of $55 plus tax for the books until June 15. Books sold after June 15 will be priced at $60 plus tax. There is still time to order at the early-bird price. Contact Sue Schaffenacker at 217-792-5693 or sueeddie@frontier.com.

All the 175th anniversary festivities will be included in the Red Book, which will contain 513 family bios, along with business, military, church, school and town histories since 1986. It will also contain some of the town's famous history since its founding in 1836. The distribution date is expected by late October or early November.
