Grain futures mixed, livestock prices fall

[May 17, 2011]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures traded mixed Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery added 8.75 cents to $7.365 a bushel; July corn gained 15.5 cents to $6.975 a bushel; July oats rose 3.5 cents to $3.48 a bushel; while July soybeans shed 3 cents to $13.265 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures dropped on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle fell 0.68 cent to $1.0832 a pound; August feeder cattle dropped 1.23 cent to $1.3122 a pound; June lean hogs slid 0.95 cent to 93.60 cents a pound; while May pork bellies were unchanged at $1.2650 a pound.
