Another example of our youngsters and a school doing a great job.

With the lights turned off in the Lincoln Junior High School gymnasium, the names of individuals represented by 137 luminaria bags are read.

The bags sold for $1 each and were purchased by both students and staff to honor those who have fought the battle against cancer -- people who have fought and won, are still fighting, and sadly, those who have lost the battle.

The total raised by staff and students was $1,559.72, which was over $300 more than last year.
