Lincoln toddler killed by vehicle

[May 23, 2011]  The following is a report from Lincoln Police Department Chief Ken Greenslate on a vehicular accident that claimed the life of an 18-month-old-Lincoln child. Further details will be made available as they are received.

On 5/21/11 at 5:34PM, the Lincoln Police were notified of a vehicle striking a child in the 1100 block of Pulaski Street.

Upon the arrival of the police, the child had already been transported from the scene by the family. The child was an 18 month old boy. The child was later pronounced deceased at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

An autopsy is scheduled for this morning. Details concerning the incident will not be released pending the completion of the investigation.
