Marguerite Dunham

[May 20, 2011]  ATLANTA -- A graveside service for Marguerite Lesher Dunham will be at 10 a.m. May 28 at the Atlanta Cemetery, with the Rev. Rob Roy officiating.

Mrs. Dunham, 99, of Boulder City, Nev., formerly of Atlanta, died Dec. 13, 2010, in Boulder City.

Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta is in charge of local arrangements.

She was born on Oct. 21, 1911, in Normal. Her parents were Roscoe C. and Emma Mae Lesher. She married Leland H. "Bill" Dunham on April 17, 1937. They had been married 24 years when he died on May 11, 1961.

She is survived by their three children, William (and Marilyn) Dunham of Prescott, Ariz., Carol (and Bill) Doane of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Marilyn (and Richard) Sutch of Henderson, Nev.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three stepgrandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials in her memory be made to either the Atlanta Public Library or the Atlanta Museum.
