orty-one
first- and second-grade students from West Lincoln-Broadwell
went on an outing Thursday, eating lunch at McDonald’s and
visiting Madigan Park. The final stop was at the Lincoln
Dairy Queen, despite 50-degree temperatures. The group was
accompanied by Mrs. Schreiner and Ms. Fitzpatrick, second-grade teacher aide Kathy Batley, and bus driver Becky Trago.

In

Cemetery in the Brooklyn borough of New York. A project
at the cemetery hopes to identify the nearly 8,000 Civil
War soldiers buried beneath the green expanse in the New
York City outer borough.

The
water at the Lincoln Park District pool looks clear
and inviting. But the temperatures made one
think of using it as a skating rink yesterday.
In just a few days the pool will open up,
hopefully with warmer temperatures.
