Community Action hosted a
poverty simulation on Thursday at St. John Church of Christ. Twenty
area residents were given various scenarios and then had to try to
survive the month on limited or no income. Although various agencies
were available to assist, for almost every group the month's demands
were too much and by the end of the month they had been forced to
move into a homeless shelter.
