Students were called by classes to receive their awards. Second-graders held their Star awards high and cheered to the crowd.

The Star awards, provided by the Community Club, were engraved with

"Hartem Field Day, May 2011."

Custodian Rodney Bridges grilled 100 hot dogs and 100 hamburgers for the picnic on Friday. He has been the Field Day chef since the school began the event.

School cooks Betty Lessen and Tami Paulus joined Bridges to organize the food and treats for the Field Day lunch.
