This generous grant will allow Community Action to purchase a new
gas range with oven, purchase additional food transportation totes,
purchase miscellaneous kitchen equipment and improve storage areas.
"We are so grateful to the Woods Foundation. Their support will help
us continue to make a difference in the lives of seniors in Logan
and Mason counties," said Angela Stoltzenburg, Community Action
executive director.
The agency's senior nutrition program delivers five meals to
seniors each week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In addition to
home-delivered meals, senior dining sites are located throughout
Logan and Mason counties. Community Action senior programs are
provided to seniors age 60 and over for only a suggested donation.
The agency has provided these services to seniors for over 35 years.
Seniors interested in participating in the nutrition program can
contact Community Action at 217-732-2159.
