[November 01, 2011]  Ruth Freesmeier's piano students presented a recital in the cafeteria at Carroll Catholic School on Friday, giving one of three lunchtime programs planned for the school year.

HardwareMrs. Freesmeier is the music director at Holy Family Church and at the school. The piano students prepare recitals for Halloween, Christmas and in the spring.

On Friday each student performed one song for the program, and Mrs. Freesmeier played a special selection chosen for the time of year -- the theme from "The Addams Family" television show. Chatter in the cafeteria was replaced with singalongs and giggles after a few notes introduced the tune. Parents of some of the students were able to attend and added to the applause for the students' Halloween program.

Songs performed included "Riding the Wind," "Sneaky Business," "A Spooky Story," "Spooks," "Halloween Witch," "Old MacDonald's Ghost," "Pumpkin Boogie," "The Ghost Who Couldn't Say Boo," "Autumn Splendor," "Haunted Music Box," "Galloping Ghosts" and "Secret Agent."
