Cub
Scout Pack 111 recently paid a visit to the Lincoln Rural Fire
Protection District. The visit was hosted by Chief Chad Letterle,
Assistant Chief Nick Hanson, firefighter Luke Hanger and Nick Goff
of the Explorer program. Cub Scouts were shown proper use of
firefighters’ personal protective equipment, or PPE. The Scouts were
also shown some of the various equipment used during emergencies,
along with a demonstration of proper use of the ladder truck.
The
Lincoln Public Library District invites the public to view
its display honoring America's veterans. The display contains
original items from soldiers in both World Wars as well as original
newspapers containing headlines related to the two World Wars. The
display is located in the library's Annex and is available during
regular business hours.
