[November 03, 2011]  LONDON (AP) -- As the world prepares for the closing arguments in the trial of the man accused of the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson, a documentary celebrating the singer's life is premiering in the U.K.

"Michael Jackson: The Life of an Icon" will be shown at London's Empire Theatre on Wednesday, with Jackson's siblings, Rebbie and Tito, expected to attend.

Producer David Gest says the documentary is a unique look at the King of Pop, and features interviews with family and close friends, as well as never before seen footage and photographs of the star.

Jackson's mother, Katherine, has canceled a trip to London to attend the final days of the Los Angeles trial of Dr. Conrad Murray.

The movie was released on DVD and Blu-ray in the U.K. on Oct. 31.
