[November 04, 2011]  The Red Lions volleyball team from Lincoln Christian University finished their regular-season play by handing Greenville College a 3-1 loss. LCU won the first game 25-19 and dropped the second game 25-22 before closing out 25-17 and 25-23.

The Red Lions finish their regular season with an 18-12 record and are now headed to the National Christian College Athletic Association national championship in Kissimmee, Fla., where they have the No. 6 seed.

LCU was led by Lincoln High School graduate Emily Sheley with 14 kills, one assist and five blocks. Jamie McFadden, another Lincoln High school graduate, had 10 kills, 14 digs and three blocks. Another standout was senior Lydia Bunting, who recorded 39 assists.

McFadden was honored after the game when the seniors were recognized. The other senior honored was Bunting, who in her career is in the top five in assists and in assist attempts. She was named second team all-American in her junior year and is awaiting the all-American announcement to be made at the national tournament.
