[November 05, 2011]  Several test options are available for producers to certify or recertify as private pesticide applicators. This certification is necessary to purchase and apply restricted-use products on ground that you own or rent. Examples of restricted-use products are atrazine and most rootworm insecticides.

Several options for license testing are available. There is a cost to attend the training sessions, and training may also be done online, in advance of attending a testing-only session, for a fee, at http://web.extension.illinois.edu/privatepsep/
