[November 22, 2011]  CHICAGO -- The Lincoln College swimming and diving teams traveled up to the University of Chicago to compete in the third annual Phoenix Fall Classic over the weekend. This is the largest meet for the Lynx before they head to the NJCAA national championships in March.

The teams posted multiple lifetime bests and season-best times. Highlight swims came from Libby Hess (Clinton, Iowa), posting a new team record in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.01); Mariana Cury (Novo Hamburgo, Brazil), who posted a new team record in the 100 freestyle (:53.87); and Max Spencer (Peoria), who won the 100 breaststroke and posted a lifetime-best time.

"All of the swimmers and divers performed well beyond expectations," said head coach Jake Sexton. "Very proud of all of them!"
