The sign on the front of Slackers was made by Kathy Miller. A new advertising logo has been designed using the corrugated metal as its background.

An antique display case was in the building but in need of being refinished before it became the wine cabinet behind the bar at Slackers.

Kathy Miller designed and created a mirrored image of the business name with tiles in the display window of the Wine Room.

An old wooden booth from the barroom is still used as seating in the Wine Room. Diners in this spot get a window with a view and are directly across from the fireplace.

A painted menu from 1948 has not been moved or changed in over 60 years. Prices and items reflect the era, making it a genuine "sign of the times."

Andy Evers and Jim Renken are co-owners of Slackers in New Holland. The Wine Room adjoining the bar is already decorated for Christmas parties and special events.

Karen Duckworth tends bar and assists with operations, and Styles Lynn is the cook and evening bartender. Erica Frakes (unavailable for photo) is bartender and server during the day.

The base of an iron door post bears the name of Mesker & Co., a historic Midwestern company that designed and manufactured metal building components and decorative pieces.
