[November 30, 2011]  ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) -- A lawyer for a Maryland businessman suspected of involvement in the presumed death of his travel companion in Aruba says his client will soon be on a plane back to the United States.

Aruban defense attorney Chris Lejuez says Gary Giordano intends to leave Wednesday. Lejuez tells The Associated Press he is not sure of Giordano's destination but says it will either be Miami, New York or home to Maryland.

Giordano was released Tuesday night after nearly four months in jail. He denies wrongdoing but prosecutors suspect him of involvement in the death of Robyn Gardner during their five-day excursion to Aruba.

A judge ruled there wasn't enough evidence to keep holding him. Prosecutors have appealed and expect a ruling Wednesday.
