Homecoming parade -- Album 1

Friday afternoon, with the exception of some pretty hefty wind gusts, it was a perfect day for a parade in downtown Lincoln, and hundreds of folks turned out to watch.

With it being homecoming weekend, a lot of emphasis was placed on the high school and the Lincoln Railers.

There were school bands on hand, lots of local athletes and many other organizations as well.

The high school classes each presented a float for the parade, with a theme revolving around their favorite television shows. From SpongeBob to a Railers' version of "America's Got Talent," and more, those who attended got to see a really terrific parade.

Even Lincoln Daily News, with access to all of cyberspace, couldn't post pictures of everything and everyone. Here are just a few examples of what spectators saw and what others missed if they couldn't make it to the parade.
