[October 04, 2011]  NEW YORK (AP) -- The Fox News Channel talk show given a summer tryout in Glenn Beck's old time slot will be sticking around.

Fox said Monday that it has picked up "The Five," a 5 p.m. ET political talk show that rotates five co-hosts each day from a panel that includes Dana Perino, Bob Beckel, Eric Bolling, Juan Williams, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Greg Gutfeld and Andrea Tantaros.

Beck exited Fox to start an online venture. His show was a cable news sensation that drew 2.7 million viewers a day during its peak in early 2010 before fading to an average audience of slightly more than 1.6 million before he left in June. Even at its low point, however, Beck did better than "The Five," which averaged nearly 1.5 million last week.

Fox says "The Five" is more profitable, since advertisers that had boycotted Beck have returned.
